A school internship can lead to special experiences. Stella Schauser, from class 8  of a Danish school in Eckernf?rde, made a trip to China during her school internship period.

For 14 year old Stella Schauser from the Danish Jes- kruse-school in Eckernf?rde, her school internship was a very special experience. She wanted to do an internship at a landscape architect. Her father, Dr. Ulf-Henning Schauser, is landscape architect himself and is working with natural wetland systems in China, and as he had to go to China during his daughter’s school internship period, she had the chance to join him during that trip.

‘We were 5 days in Beijing, and the rest of the time in Shang Mo, the girl explains. She also visited the great wall and the world′s biggest McDonald′s restaurant.

We also went to Inner Mongolia, 500 km away, to order special filter sand for the reed bed at Shang Mo.

Once the whole system is established, the result is clean water, which can be led back to the river which will help to save the fish life in the river, stella is explaining.’
